Aspects of a landscape - P. Reade (flute)

These seven pieces beautifully encapsulate the vibrant life of birds in the countryside. Opening with the serene stillness of Dawn, the music gradually unveils the first hints of activity. As the melodies evolve in Birdsong, so grow the unpredictable movements of these winged creatures in Bird-Movements. In Sun Dance, two birds frolic joyfully in the sunlight before their playful antics turn to Conflict. Following this, a poignant Lament evokes the sadness that can accompany life in the wild. However, this sadness is transformed into a jubilant Celebration, where all the themes come together in a delightful flurry of notes.
