Bernard Nelleke composed this charming duo on July 29, 1979, in the picturesque Austrian village of Gortipohl following a peaceful day by a brook near Gargellen. For many years, Gortipohl served as the beloved holiday retreat for the Nelleke family. As he said himself, he was inspired by the sudden and unpredictable movements of the dragonflies—sometimes hovering, sometimes shooting away.
