The Victorian Kitchen Garden - P. Reade (flute, harp)

Suite for flute and harp, arranged by J.W. Nelleke

£12.00

The Victorian Kitchen Garden, a cherished BBC2 television series from 1987, has left a lasting legacy, particularly through its award-winning incidental music for which composer Paul Reade received the 1991 Ivor Novello Award for best TV theme music.

In 1991 he arranged his music into a charming five movement suite that beautifully captures the essence of the garden throughout the seasons: a reflective Prelude, the lively Spring, the introspective Mists, the vibrant Exotica and the fluid Summer.

This arrangement by Jan Willem Nelleke for flute and harp offers a new dimension to the piece, with the fourth movement featuring a delightful option for piccolo, yet an alternative for flute is also provided.

The suite has gained popularity in recitals, inviting audiences to experience the enchanting atmosphere of the Victorian garden through music.
