Unter der Linden grüne - J.P. Sweelinck (violin, piano)

Unter der Linden grüne is originally an organ composition by Sweelinck based on a popular folk song. In this version for violin and piano, the piece is reinterpreted to create an original opening for a concert programme. Both players enter the hall from the back and surprise the audience by playing and whistling as they enter, thus bringing a lively atmosphere and a sense of immediacy right from the start of the performance.
