Nutscale Music

Nutscale Music was founded to promote and publish the compositions and arrangements of Paul Reade, Leonard Leutscher, and Jan Willem Nelleke. Although all three have created a wealth of repertoire that is worth playing, much of it has remained unpublished—until now.
Nutscale Music is committed to making these composers' works accessible to musicians and audiences alike. We are gradually expanding our catalogue, releasing new works over time.
Nutscale Music is managed by Jan Willem Nelleke in memory of Paul and Leonard. Based in the UK—where both Paul lived and Jan Willem currently resides—the publisher also reflects its Dutch roots through works with Dutch titles and lyrics, honouring the heritage of Leonard and Jan Willem.
The name Nutscale pays tribute to a scenic part of Exmoor National Park in the UK, near the cottage where Paul Reade found inspiration and composed many of his works. Jan Willem also composed pieces there. Fittingly, nutscale also serves as a playful double Dutch translation of notenladder—a musical scale.
